The reconstruction of Unirii Square in the heart of Bucharest is one of Romania’s most complex urban infrastructure projects in the last 35 years. Beneath the square, multiple layers of infrastructure overlap, including two metro lines, the Dâmbovița River, wastewater and drainage networks, utilities, roads, and structures. At the center of the project is the replacement of a concrete structure dating back to 1934. With Dalux, project documents and BIM models are centralized in one common data environment, giving teams access to the latest information while connecting it directly to activities on site. Daily Logs, Inspection Plans, checklists, tasks, and 3D scanning support everything from documenting progress to quality control and execution verification. By bringing models, documentation, and site activities together, Dalux supports the coordination and digital management of a project designed to reshape one of Bucharest’s most important public spaces for generations to come.
