SOFITEL Hotel

The Sofitel Budapest project is transforming a 40-year-old building within Budapest’s UNESCO World Heritage site, demonstrating how existing buildings can be given a new purpose without being demolished. The renovation preserves the building’s original architectural concept and structure while creating a stronger connection with the surrounding city and Danube promenade. With around 350 rooms and more than 1,000 spaces, coordinating the renovation of an existing building in such a central location brings significant complexity. Dalux provides a common data environment connecting designers, the client, subcontractors, and site teams. From tracking design changes and managing version-controlled documentation to site logistics, inspections, and defect management, teams can work with information linked directly to specific locations within the building. Nearly 13,000 tasks have been recorded in Dalux, supporting communication, assignment, and follow-up throughout the project while helping give an existing building a new life.
