GCs are typically focused on coordination and delivery — but what gets handed over, and how it’s structured, has a direct impact on what owners and FM teams can actually do with the model. This session draws on firsthand experience from the BMW Group Future Mobility Development Center in Czechia, where As-Built model requirements were driven entirely by the future FM operator. Topics include asset naming and coding, model structure aligned to FM workflows, required asset properties, and the two-way data flow between the BIM model and Dalux. The goal is to give contractors a broader view of the full building lifecycle — and why thinking about handover early changes how you build.
