EcoDataCenter

EcoDataCenter Borlänge

EcoDataCenter’s Borlänge campus is transforming the former Kvarnsveden paper mill into one of Europe’s largest AI data center campuses. Spanning 50 hectares, the first phase will deliver 250 MW of power capacity, with operations expected to begin in early 2027. Built on a site with more than a century of industrial history, the project takes a circular approach to construction, reusing existing structures and materials wherever possible. Renewable energy, existing grid infrastructure, river-based cooling, and district heating integration are also central to the development. With multiple buildings, site management teams, and design streams operating simultaneously, Dalux provides a common environment for coordinating the project. Review Packages support structured, parallel design reviews, while Model Validation helps identify clashes before they reach the site. Regular SiteWalk captures provide a visual record of progress across the campus. By bringing design reviews, model coordination, and site documentation together, Dalux helps teams work from the same reliable information throughout this large-scale industrial redevelopment.
